Consumer Directed Personal Assistance (CDPA)
Child & Teens
Bathing, feeding, changing and managing all that laundry does not have to be your responsibility 24 hours a day. If your child has physical needs which might require a personal care aide, you could be the person who hires, trains and supervises them. You are the employer, we write the paycheck.

When a person needs more care than family can provide a Personal Care Assistant can help fill the gap. Arc of Seneca Cayuga staff will support the individual and their family as they choose, train, and schedule their own Personal Care Assistant. In this way, family can be assured that their loved one will receive compassionate, considerate assistance with hygiene, exercise, medication and communication. This Medicaid-funded program often serves as an alternative to long-term care or nursing home placement.
